Student Gets Charge out of CVCC Electrical Systems Program

Andrew “Andy” Jakubczek had an interest in the construction field but was leaning toward the more technical side of things. Cuyahoga Valley Career Center’s (CVCC) Electrical Systems program instructed by Joseph McNamee was just the right fit for Jakubczek, a senior at Cuyahoga Heights High School. His involvement is why he was selected for CVCC’s Student Connection for April.

Jakubczek really appreciates the knowledge his instructor provides throughout class. He is also thankful for the friendships he has made during his time in the program. Trying to balance classwork, working, and sports can be difficult; however, Jacubczek has done a good job managing it. Overall, he enjoys the environment CVCC provides students. There is a program for everyone’s passion to learn and explore.

Outside of academics, Jakubczek is involved in Cuyahoga Heights wrestling and football. He enjoys spending time with his friends and helping his friends with labor construction jobs when he can. Jakubczak plans on joining the AirForce. Looking ahead, he hopes to have a career as a journeyman electrician.
