Students enjoy refreshments with their guests.

More than 100 grandparents and other significant adults visited Cuyahoga Heights Elementary School on October 9 to share time with their students during the annual Goodies with Grands Day. The annual tradition brought families together for a fun-filled morning of connection, celebration, and love.

“PTO has been hosting the event for many years," said Vice President Emma Mandich. ”It's a chance for the children to show their grandparents their classroom, explain what they do in school, and get a fun photo memory keepsake.

Guests participated in engaging activities, explored the classroom, and shared in the excitement of the students' daily routines. Whether they were solving puzzles, working on art projects, or simply chatting with their students, the day provided a unique opportunity to strengthen family bonds and share in the joy of learning.

Each student presented a craft to their grand guest and invited them to take a tour of their classroom. Pastries, bagels, donuts, coffee, and juice provided by the PTO in the school cafeteria enabled the students and special guests to spend precious time with one another in the school cafeteria.

Students and their guests were captured in a keepsake photo to preserve the memory of their time together. The annual photo has become a cherished part of the event, giving families a lasting memento to look back on their special day.
