Elementary School Picture Retake Day is Thursday, October 29. Please have your student bring the original picture package to give to the photographer.
This is a reminder that report cards will be available today, October 23, at 4:00 p.m.
We also want to share an important change for families of students with IEPs (Individualized Education Programs). Beginning this school year, IEP progress reports will be shared electronically through SameGoal.You will receive an email from SameGoal with a link to view your child’s report.
Progress reports will no longer be mailed home.

The sun was shining, trunks were decked out and many smiles were seen this past Saturday at the PTO's 4th annual Trunk-or-Treat! Thank you to all who attended and helped make this event a success!

The 4th Annual CHS PTO Trunk or Treat is scheduled for this Sunday, October 11, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM.
While this is normally a "rain or shine" event, we are closely monitoring a forecast that calls for heavy rain and wind. Because these conditions would make trunk-or-treating too challenging, please note our current contingency plan:
Final Decision: We will make an official call by noon this Friday, October 9th.
Updates: You will receive a follow-up email on Friday. The decision will also be published in this week's PTO Inside Update newsletter.
Rain Date: If we postpone, the make-up date is Saturday, October 17, 2026 (same time and location). This alternative date gives us the flexibility to move inside to the high school if we are met with bad weather again.
Thank you for your flexibility as we work to keep this event safe and fun for the kids!

The PTO Scholastic Book Fair is October 12–16! Students will have the opportunity to shop during their scheduled Library Special. Students may bring cash or use a Scholastic eWallet. Check your email for more information about the book fair. Thank you for supporting our school and encouraging a love of reading!

To make sure we hit this milestone, we’ve extended our Stoller Pastries Fundraiser sale through Sunday, October 11.
Proceeds from this fundraiser directly support our elementary school students by funding field trips, hands-on learning opportunities, and special activities throughout the school year.

Tomorrow is VIP Day #1!
Cuyahoga Heights Elementary School students in preschool (a.m. and p.m.), fourth grade, and fifth grade are invited to bring their VIP guests to school on Friday, October 2, from 7:45 to 8:30 a.m.
Students and their guests will enjoy a light breakfast and a drink, along with a simple craft provided by the PTO. This year, VIP Day will take place in each grade-level area.
We can’t wait to welcome our CHES VIPs tomorrow morning!

To see if your child's pictures are available to view, please log in to your account at mylifetouch.com. If you don’t have an account yet, you can create one using your email address.
To locate your child's photos, you'll need their four-digit Student ID or Portrait ID and Access Code. If you don't have this information, you can:
*Check your inbox for an email from Lifetouch that may contain your access credentials and a direct link to your child's images.
*Wait for your proof sheet to arrive, which will include your Portrait ID and Access Code.
*Contact the Lifetouch Help Center for assistance at 1-800-736-4753

The PTO Family Tailgate will be held next Friday, September 11, 5:30 - 7:00 PM in the elementary school back lot. Food will be served 5:30 - 6:30 PM while supplies last. No RSVP is required.
This event is free for all Cuyahoga Heights Schools students and families to attend! There will also be a few pay-to-play activities and raffles, as well as a special performance by the Mighty Marching Band, Drum Line, and Red Rubies. A special thank you to Big Red and Music Boosters for emceeing the event, and to Elementary Student Council for hosting games.
A friendly reminder that PTO merch orders placed by September 7 will be available for pickup at the Family Tailgate.

Due to the hot weather expected tomorrow, our cafeteria will be serving cold lunches only. The choices will be cinnamon roll with yogurt, Mini Cinnis with yogurt, pizza bistro box, nacho box, protein box, salads, chicken wraps, PBJ, and cereal.
Please join us at the elementary school on September 3rd for Parent Information Night, where you will find out about the academic program in each of your child's classes. There will be two sessions, so if you need to visit more than one grade level. When a session ends or during the break, you can visit the specials teachers. This is for parents only, please.

Please remember to set your students' main dismissal default in School Dismissal Manager. If this is not done by Noon tomorrow, we will not know how your student is getting home from school.
Don't forget to join us at Cuyahoga Heights Elementary School for Meet the Teachers today from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Meet your student's teacher, see the classroom, and bring in your student's school supplies.
On Tuesday, June 2, the third grade students presented their biography research in the form of a Living Wax Museum. Over the course of four weeks, students conducted research, created a presentation, and wrote an essay and speech. Students focused on their historical person's childhood, adulthood and achievements. As the culminating project, third graders dressed up as their historical figure and presented a speech to the family, friends, and staff members who attended the Living Wax Museum.

Students will be dismissed from their respective buildings one hour earlier than usual (1:35 PM for middle and high school and 2:15 PM for elementary). Valley View aftercare will remain open for elementary students who attend.
Please make any necessary arrangements for your student(s). For elementary students, if you need to change your child’s dismissal plans, please update School Dismissal Manager prior to noon tomorrow.
